Our CBD Oil Product Range
An Introduction to
Dr. Hemp Me’s CBD
Dr. Hemp Me’s UK range of CBD products are blended from hemp extract, locally grown on our outdoor, organic farms in Ireland and the UK.
All our Cannabidiol based products are full spectrum, for our customers to benefit from the ‘entourage effect’.
This is achieved during our extraction process. For all our products, we carry out a method known as supercritical CO2 extraction, which allows us to make use of the entire hemp plant when we create our CBD oil. This tried and tested process incorporates the full spectrum of cannabinoids and terpenes found in hemp plants, enabling them to work in synergy.
Across our CBD product range, there are over 100 varying traces of naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes featured, including CBD, CBDV, CBDa, CBG, CBN, CBC and 0.2% THC. Ongoing research shows that the ‘entourage effect’, activated in full spectrum cannabidiol products allows the body to not only better absorb the cannabinoids quicker but more efficiently too.

Enjoying CBD as Part of your Lifestyle
Dr. Hemp Me offers a wide range of CBD products in varying strengths to suit your lifestyle. During our production process, we have incorporated an additional level of filtration which allows us to reduce the amount of plant material present in our products. This produces a milder tasting CBD product than any other available on the market, yet one that is still a full-spectrum cannabidiol food supplement.
With each of our products, Dr. Hemp Me features recommended guidelines with regards to incorporating CBD as part of your daily life. In most cases, cannabidiol achieves the best results when taken in the morning. However, we suggest that our customers decide what time of day works best for them.
We also recommend using our simple and easy to use dosage calculator for selecting the right amount of CBD that is going to work for you and part of a healthy diet and lifestyle. For most people a dose of 20 to 30 mg of CBD is plenty but for some with higher tolerances more might be needed. The best way to figure this out is to slowly increase your dosage until you reach your desired affects.
Dr. Hemp Me’s CBD oils come in 4 different strengths so to reach 30mg per dose is different per bottle. For example the 10% strength oil has 5mg of CBD per drop which means 6 drops is needed to reach 30mg. The 20% strength oil has 10mg per drop so only 3 drops is needed.
To take CBD oil simply drop the oil under your tongue and hold for 90 seconds before swallowing and thats it!
Our Certificate of Analysis
Dr. Hemp Me produces only the highest quality of CBD across our entire product range.
We ensure this with our rigorous lab testing on every batch of CBD we produce. Our tests are carried out at Eirlab, the industry leader of hemp and cannabinoid testing in Europe. For transparency, we update lab tests for our product range with every new batch of CBD we produce. This allows us to ensure our customers understand the levels of CBD and other cannabinoids found across all our products.
Dr. Hemp Me is also a member of both the European Industrial Hemp Association and the Cannabis Trades Association. Our product range has been reviewed by both associations and we adhere to their best practice guidelines and all legal requirements.
The Legality of CBD Oil in the UK
There is a lot of discussion over the legality of CBD oil and other cannabis-based products throughout the UK. There is a great deal of contradicting information on the internet, which causes consumers a great deal of confusion. To clarify, here is a short breakdown of CBD oil’s current legal status in the UK for a more in-depth discussion you can read more here.
CBD vs THC
CBD is short for the chemical compound Cannabidiol. THC stands for the chemical compound Tetrahydrocannabinol. They are two different chemical compounds, but both come from cannabis plants.
THC is the compound that causes hallucinations and results in “the high.”
The UK outlawed THC use with the passing of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. CBD is not illegal because it doesn’t have the psychotropic effects on your brain.
CBD is used to support your body’s endocannabinoid system, which helps regulate things like physical pain and your emotional state. CBD’s ability to help regulate this system is why people view it as an over the counter alternative to prescription drugs.
THC Concentrations in CBD Oil
Since CBD and THC both come from the cannabis plant, there may be trace amounts of THC in CBD oil. For CBD oil to be considered legal, the trace amount of THC present in it has to be less than 0.2%.
The legal issues that have been coming up with CBD oil stem from the fact that the CBD industry is not adequately regulated. In 2019 The Centre for Medical Cannabis (CMC) tested CBD oils from companies throughout the UK.
The test results found that out of the 30 companies tested, 11 contained less than half their advertised CBD content and, in some cases, no CBD at all. More alarming still, several of the products tested contained over the legal THC limit.
The results of this testing have called for the present clampdown by The Food Standard Agency (FSA) on CBD oil companies in the UK. By 2021, CBD oil companies need to submit a novel food authorization application and provide information about their products’ safety and contents, or they will not be allowed to sell them.
Growing and Selling Cannabis in the UK
Although CBD is legal, Cannabis is still considered a Class B drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act. An individual can’t grow cannabis to make CBD oil. To produce CBD, you need to have a license from the UK Home Office.
Furthermore, according to The Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, you need to be either a licensed medical distributor or can only sell CBD as a nutritional supplement. Currently, the only CBD oil that is legal for ingestion is the oil that comes from hemp.
While there are other legal CBD products on the UK market, these products need to be vaped, smoked, or applied topically in the form or a balm or cream.
Difference Between CBD Oil and Medicinal CBD Oil
Legal CBD oil has to come from hemp, and if ingested, it has to be a Full-Spectrum CBD oil containing less than 0.2% THC. However, medicinal CBD oil comes from the psychoactive cannabis plant variety and is only legal with a prescription from a doctor. Other legal ingredients may include hemp seed oil which we use as the carrier oil in our own full spectrum CBD oil.
Medicinal CBD oil (also called Cannabis oil) is permitted for the treatment of certain diagnosed medical conditions.
If you’re interested in experimenting with CBD oil, make sure you research both the products and company before you decide to purchase to protect your health and avoid an unpleasant legal situation.
All our CBD products are legal in both Ireland, the UK and most countries across Europe but we always recommend checking if CBD is legal in your country before purchasing. Our CBD oil offers users a variety of health and wellness benefits, and because it contains less than 0.2% THC, you will not experience a high.
All our batches of CBD undergo rigorous testing via an independent lab. For more information on this, our lab test results can be reviewed on each product page.
Please always speak with your doctor or health professional before taking CBD oil 5% for the first time, particularly if you are already on other medication.
CBD oil is ideal to be enjoyed at any time throughout the day to suit your requirements. However, we recommend taking it in the morning for the best effect. The dosage also depends on the individual and we would recommend that anyone taking CBD for the first time use our easy to use dosage calculator.
If unopened our hemp oil products have a shelf life of 1 – 2 years. Once opened it should be used within 6 months.
All our food supplement CBD oils are designed for oral consumption only and are not suitable to use in a vape.
Yes, we use Hemp seed as a carrier oil across our CBD product range.
